Faces for Fun

For this week’s Fantastic Fun Friday I am sharing two more drawings with you.

Just like I mentioned in a previous post about drawing, this activity has proven to be a peaceful adventure for me.

1 Peter 4:10 King James Version

10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

What makes ART so special? Art is something that takes your mind off of daily norms, while giving you a chance to make something. It is not work. It is not an appointment of some sort. It is, however, something that you simply do because you want to.

Your reward is always there, upon completion, and it can be found in a variety of ways:

  • By simply enjoying what you have made
  • By using your creation as a gift for someone else
  • By using your creation to inspire others
  • By taking the time during the activity to slow down, breathe, and think good thoughts

Joy can be found in creating something because you allow yourself time to do what you enjoy doing. Whether it be writing a poem, a piece of literature for your blog or book, a motivational piece geared towards helping others, gardening, drawing, singing, crafting, and so much more… The fact of the matter is… creating something helps you to be happy because it gives you a chance to do what you like to do.

I hope that you all had an amazing week. I also hope that your weekend is more than wonderful!

Christy 🙂

I love the quote from the bible: Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. It reminds me that we all have our special gifts whether it is art, music, dancing, speaking, caring or something else. Your drawings are wonderful 😉

🤔 looks like I might have a new tattoo artist in the making! 😁

I completely agree. I’m not artistic in drawing or anything like that. But sometimes my creative thoughts start forming a poem, or something deep. I like walking through the woods looking for specific trees or sticks that I can make walking/hiking sticks out of.

I liken it to seeing potential in things that most people overlook. Just like the Lord who seeks us, man or even ourselves might not see potential, but He does. Then takes us, whittles us down, sands us down and then stains us. Once we were overlooked but now are an attractive piece.

See! A deep thought! 😁 my form of art..

I can struggle with something like art because I don’t feel I’m doing anything ‘useful’ or ‘productive’, not to mention that I’m not very (any) good at it. You are and I love this post – there are so many benefits to art and having a creative outlet, and it should be relished and enjoyed 🙂

Caz, it doesn’t matter whether you’re good at it or not as long as you can relax and make a mess. We all have our individual talents and I think for you it’s blogging/writing and helping others.
In fact I think I’m going to have to start some online art workshops so I can connect with all of you I just can’t figure our how to do it.

An online art workshop sounds like a great idea! Are there any out there? Maybe you could start it up like a weekly contest (like all these other WP contests we see like swimmers) and have peeps send you a work of art that we can all vote on each week? 🤷‍♀️ Best of luck and know that I would most likely not be the only person sharing and helping you promote this. I am sure that Caz will do it too. 😉🙋‍♀️

Well yeah I’m actually going to start one up really soon once I’m feeling better and the competition sounds like a great idea! I’m just not sure how I’d go about doing it. I suppose I’d post a blog every week asking for artworks and choose a winner every month. Although there wouldn’t be any prizes as such since I’m on the other side of the world. Only hugs and recognition on my blog. 🙂

There are blogs that do this currently, for other things than art, that do not award prizes either. People do participate because it is fun. I can help by sharing your contest invites in my page and I am sure others will share to get the word out also.

No bus does swimmers without prizes.

Our Little Red House Blog AND A Guy Called Bloke do something like this as well. Red house mentions her favorite posts for various reasons once a month. Bloke does quotes and other things.

            You can do this. 😉🤗

I agree with you Christy. There are many many benefits of art even if you can’t draw just putting pen or pencil to paper can be therapeutic and I always say as long as you make a mess and have fun! I love the middle one. I am wondering if you can share some more of them with me that I can use to post up on the many benefits. I am an artist and I use my art to help me relax. Art is very important to me as both of my grandparents were artists and taught me how to paint and draw. You might like to read my blog on art and recreation.
