Thanksgiving Tag & Fun Friday

I haven’t played tag in a while, so I enjoyed taking this one without crossing my fingers, so that I could participate in the fun! 😉

Before I get started, I would like to ask… When was the last time you played tag, or any other non-electronic game for that matter? Lately, we have been enjoying some board games here in our house because we get the chance to talk while having fun. Checkers, Battleship, Monopoly and Jenga are our favorites. What games do you like to play?

Now on to our Thanksgiving Tag….

I am honored to be included in on this Thanksgiving Tag and I want to send a special “thanks” to Ana for including me in on this great way to show what we are thankful for. Giving thanks is nice anytime, but it is especially important during this time of year. I like how blogging opens a door for us all to share things that we may have not been able to share otherwise.

After being thankful to God because of His unlimited grace and mercy, I came up with a list to meet this tag’s request.

I am thankful for…

A- Angels who live amoung us.

B- Beauty of the world.

C- College because “thinking expanion” helps us live more fulfilled lives.

D- Dedication

E- Everything and Everyone

F- Family and Friends

G- God

H- Husband

I- Inspiration

J- Joy

K- My Kid

L- Love

M- Memories

N- Nice People

O- Obstacles because they are a necessary part of life and having them teaches us to overcome and do better next time.

P- Precious Moments

Q- Questions Unanswered because finding the answers is one of life’s greatest journeys.

R- Role Models

S- Serenity

T- Today because each day I get yet another chance to make it more meaningful than the last.

U- Uniform because I wore it with pride and I learned valuable life lessons which have helped shape me into who I am today.

V- Victories, no matter how big or small, because they help me see that there is something great that comes from simply trying.

W- Willingness because when we are in this state we can do many things. When we are not in this state, prayer helps of course!

X- Xing (a crossing) because it is a blessing to cross into Christianity.

Y- You because with “you” I get to share my blessings and from “you” I get to learn about yours.

Z- Zen because he is my dog and he teaches me patience, love and how to care for others when I am tired.

Rules:

1. List your thankful ABC. CHECK

2. Add one theme clip art to your post. CHECK

3. Tag 3 people who’d you hope would participate. I encourage anyone who wants to do it to do so because it is refreshing. My Nominees: Vickie, Kathy, and Ryan.

If you have time constraints please do not feel any pressure because thanksgiving is done best peacefully between you and God.

I hope that you all have an amazing weekend. As always, I would enjoy hearing from you.

Christy 🙂

Oh I loved your list Christy! Loved the letter ‘O.’ We do need those obstacles, you’re absolutely right. Some of us don’t even think about God until we’re in need of His help. They help us so much, teach us, they can bring us to our knees but God helps us back up, because of this, we always remember that only with God can we overcome those obstacles.

Thank you so much for your kind words Ana. 🤗 I am glad you agree with ‘O’ because it is something we all face often and if we choose to see the positive in it (the silver linings) we can learn from those challenges in our lives. One of mine was MS and now I view it as a part of me. What was once a hurdle can now just be a part of life. I hope you are having a great weekend. God bless you and you beautiful family.

I know, I recently read in one of your posts I think it was about you having MS – I had no idea!
I agree Christy m, if you don’t accept your diagnosis and can really eat you up! I went through that with my Chiari Malformation diagnosis, the first couple of years were tough, so semi-torturous! And it’s not to say, I don’t have my moments or days where I don’t feel down! But they’re less and less of those and they’re brief. It can be so lonely to live with something that has taken over your life and changed it around from what it used to be. But God works in mysterious ways. I see now with my Chiari, that it’s given me patience, and it’s helped me be grateful for the smaller things in life. It’s a part of who I am, as you said. Yes, it’s a part of me.
God continues to write our stories, it’s perfect in every way – even if we don’t see it that way. 😊🙏🏽
